Graduating with a major in illustration, I was very surprised at how the graduate program students at Tyler School of Art (Temple University) were such typography aficionados. What was the big deal moving letterforms around and choosing the right fonts? It didn't take long for me to fall in love with great type and image relationships. Before I knew it, I was a typography geek and I learned to paint with type to supplement my traditional training in illustration.
I've been doing so for quite some time and loving it!
